WATER BILLS ARE NO LONGER ON POSTCARD STOCK. PLEASE BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR A BILL IN AN ENVELOPE FROM THE CITY OF LAKE HELEN
NEW METERS ARE BEING INSTALLED THROUGHOUT THE CITY. PLEASE BE AWARE THEY WILL BE SHUTTING OFF YOUR WATER TO REPLACE THEM.
Water Bills are Quarterly
Meters are read around the 15th of the Month – March, June, September and December.
During the water meter reading months, from the 13th-17th we are asking residents to make sure:
- Family pets are restrained so that City employees can access the meter
- Meters are easily accessible and are not covered by any items
- Grass and/or shrubbery are trimmed around meters
Bills are due around the 20th or 21st of the Month, depending on what day it falls on – January, April, July and October.
Water bills are rendered thereon and mailed out the first of April, July, October, and January, or the first working day thereafter. Full payment is due upon receipt of the bill. Such billing shall become delinquent if not paid within twenty (20) days of the billing date and subject to penalty. Non-payment after thirty (30) days of the billing date shall result in the water being shut off and shall not be reconnected until all delinquent penalties have been fully paid.
When leaving a residence, it shall be the owners/tenants responsibility to notify City Hall with a final read date and forwarding address for the final water bill and service deposit refund, if applicable.

Utility Bill Payment Options
Please utilize the following options when paying your bill:
- Residents can pay utility bills using the drop box at City Hall, with cash, check or money order
- Residents can pay utility bills online with a credit or debit card-Effective October 1st 2024 all credit card/debit card payments will incur a convenience fee and a service fee for using our online portal.
- Residents can pay utility bills by check or money order mailed to PO Box 39, Lake Helen, FL 32744
