General City Elections

Overview

– Our General Elections are held annually on the date established by the Florida Election Code.
– Our Commissioners and Mayor are elected at-large.
– Terms of office for all seats are two (2) years, and there are no term limits.
– Municipal elections are non-partisan.

Our current City Commissioners are:

Zone 2 – Commissioner Roger Eckert (term ends 2022)

Canvassing Board
Pursuant to State law, the Volusia County Canvassing Board will canvass the returns of any City election that is held coincident with a county, state or federal election.

Logic & Accuracy Tests
In accordance with Section 101.5612 F.S., the Volusia County Department of Elections will conduct public, pre-election tests of the automatic tabulating equipment which will be used for early voting and at the polls for the City’s Elections.
