City of Lake Helen Presents Hometown Heroes Military Banner Program
Lake Helen, Florida –
The City of Lake Helen is proud to announce that we are participating in the Hometown Heroes Military Banner Program. Our goal is to place these banners in Lake Helen during July 2020.
The program was created for Lake Helen residents to pay tribute to and honor family members that are active or past military service personnel. The City of Lake Helen would like to pay tribute to their service and commitment to our nation and to our community by flying a prestigious banner as a way to publicly express our gratitude. All applicants meeting the criteria in the Hometown Heroes Application Form will be considered for City recognition on a first-come, first-served basis due to the limited number of banner mounts. So please apply now.
Applications available on the City Website. (click link to open)
There is no cost to apply to the program or for the banners thanks to presenting sponsor Duke Energy. Honorees banners will be hung via banner mounts already installed on select telephone poles in Lake Helen.
For more information and to access the Hometown Heroes Application form please visit the city website at www.lakehelen.org or contact Deputy City Clerk, Lauren Olsen at 386-228-2121 or lolsen@lakehelen.org.
